Calling Festival 2014 Headlining Aerosmith

Aerosmith has been one of my favourite bands since the 1990s when they came out with songs like Crazy and Don't Wanna Miss a Thing. They used Alicia Silverstone and Liv Tyler in their videos. I was hooked. Firstly, Alicia Silverstone was gorgeous and almost all young girls wanted to look like her and emulate her Clueless style. And then there was Liv Tyler who was new to me and I found her equally stunning.

Then of course, there's the band, which this blog post is supposed to be about. Aerosmith, made up by Steve Tyler, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, Joey Kramer and Tom Hamilton totally took my breath away. They were something new to me. Rock legends with a distinct flare of their own.

Anyone else think that Aerosmith could do with a sixth member?

I was so thrilled when I found out that Aerosmith would be playing in the Calling Festival this year. I was even more excited when I found out that the venue had moved from Hyde Park to Clapham Common. I don't have anything against Hyde Park, but Clapham Common is literally ten minutes away from where I live so it just felt like this was destiny. It was fate that I could go to an Aerosmith concert, something that I never thought was a possibilty when I was a child.

The line up for the day included The Three Dudes, Heaven's Basement, Thunder, Radkey, Richie Sambora (who was accompanied by Orianthi!!), Thunder, Joe Bonamassa and Aerosmith (waaheeeey!!!). So, so, sooooo exciting!! And the day totally lived up to expectations (except the incredibly annoying rain which wasn't there the day before). I'd been to a Calling Festival before, when it was headlined by Bon Jovi; that was in 2011. So, I was well prepared this year.

Amongst the songs played, Steve Tyler belted out Dream On, Love in an Elevator, Same Old Song and Dance, Don't Wanna Miss a Thing and more....The atmosphere was electric and saying it was fun would be a total understatement. I was a fan of the band before and now I am obsessed! Totally looking forward to getting an email from Ticket Master, telling me that they have another show lined up in London!! Eeeek!!

And in case anyone wants to know what's appropriate to take to an all day music festival; click on below. Enjoy! :) xoxo
